To our esteemed members and fans

Greetings and warm holiday wishes from the Exiles management. We are yet again starring at the don of another year, a year that has come with good and bad, of which we have embraced. As we look into 2007, it is both our duty and joy to partake in the continued growth of the game we have so grown to love, rugby.

Kenya Exiles Rugby is and will continue to remain a uniting force among our local communities, playing rugby where we are welcomed and teaching people that the game is a powerful tool that can be used for the betterment of individuals and communities at large. As we go into 2007, we see more members, more players and more signs of growth, all that act as a reminder that our performance and existence is a shining star that we should all be proud of.

The year ahead shows a lot of promise, more tournaments, deeper rosters, better management structure, more community involvement, bigger fan support, improved coaching techniques, stronger inter-club relationships, improved player quality all with the unified goal of victory wherever we go.

The organization has seen a steady growth and we urge all our fans and members to come out in numbers to support a cause that is worth the effort, a cause that has seen players come to the States and use rugby to go to school, a cause that has seen players use their rugby skills to get better jobs, a cause that has seen players use their skills to connect with other people and cultures , a cause that joins us all in social functions and keeps the feel of home away from home , the game continues to grow and we are growing with it .

In 2007, we hope to hold several fundraising events that will be used to support the tournament expenditure for the tour year 2007, so we ask that you keep a close eye on updates that will show venue and time for these events being held in different places across the United States.

The Exiles rugby calendar will be put out in the next month or two and is almost certainly going to be a cracker, with first time appearances in several tournaments. The squad will yet again be boasting a full load of current internationals, ex-internationals, prospective internationals and international –like players who will don the famous exiles jerseys and carry the name high as we seek yet another successful season.

San Diego 7’s will be the first main rugby event of 2007 and we hope that you will turn out in numbers to cheer your national team to victory.

We would also like to encourage you to post your comments/suggestions/ questions on the website or email kenyaexiles1@yahoo.com. We are in the process of reviewing tournament requests, so if you have any tournament in your area that you feel is of high quality and good competition then send in your information and it will be added to the review list.

Rugby players of all ages and sex are urged to come out and send your info so that we can contact you and get you playing rugby in one of our three sides – Team A, Team B,   Social side and soon to be started women’s side.

The Exiles Management would like to wish you and your’s a happy New Year and a memorable year ahead.

    Asante
